Along with your defensive driving certificate, most Texas courts require that you obtain and submit a certified copy of your Texas Driving Record (FORM DR-1) to have a traffic ticket dismissed (§ 45.0511).
If you would like for us to obtain your driving record for you please call us at 1-800-397-1898. Please have your driver’s license with you when you call.
If you order your driver record directly form Texas DPS, normal delivery of your certified copy will take 2-3 weeks. The Defensive Driving Institute offers a DRIVING RECORD SERVICE for only $20.00. Normal delivery time with our service, 3 - 4 days.
